In this course, we are offered a high degree of creative and intellectual freedom to develop our own innovative design ideas and solutions. We are encouraged to apply our theoretical and practical skills in our chosen design discipline to a particular social, environmental and/or sustainability challenge.
Integrating our previous learning and applying it to a real-world problem requires further development of research, problem identification/definition and problem-solving capability. We are required to develop our real-world design solution to at least a prototype stage and to present this to lecturers and peers for critical feedback and further solution refinement.
